What we collect, why, and how to ask for your data. We keep it to what the games need, and we do not sell it.
Lakeside Games is run by two developers. This policy explains what data we hold when you use our website, our games, and Ask, our question-answering assistant, and what we do with it.
We use this data to run your account, run the games, process purchases, confirm Patreon supporter status, answer your messages, keep things secure, and understand how the games are used so we can improve them. We do not use it for anything unrelated to running Lakeside Games.
We do not sell your data and we do not trade it. We share it only with the services we need to operate: Stripe for payments, login providers like Discord and Google when you choose to link them, and the AI providers listed below when you use Ask. Those services handle your data under their own policies.
Ask answers questions about how our games work. When you ask a question, we send the text you typed, the earlier turns of that conversation, and the game code and documentation Ask pulled in to answer you, to one of these AI providers:
If you ask Ask about your own character, it can look up your own game records, such as your balance sheet or wealth history, and those results are sent to the provider as part of answering. It only ever does this for your own records, never another player's.
We do not send your username, email address, account ID, or Discord ID to any AI provider. Each provider is a separate company with its own terms, which we do not control. The full detail is in the Ask privacy notice.
We keep your account data while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data, except for records we are required to keep, such as basic transaction records for accounting.
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email contact@lakesidegames.net and we will handle it.
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and note significant changes on the site.
Privacy questions and requests go to contact@lakesidegames.net. See also our Terms of Service.
